ESL and Facebook Gaming media partnership will continue through to December 2019. English and Portuguese language broadcasts of the ESL One and ESL Pro League tournament series will no longer be exclusive to the platform. A Reddit comment from ESL executive Johannes Schiefer suggests content could be broadcasted on Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer, as well as Facebook.

ESL has announced that its broadcasting deal with Facebook Gaming will continue on a non-exclusive basis through to December 2019. While last year’s Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) series was available on multiple platforms, English and Portuguese coverage of the ESL One and ESL Pro League were only available to watch on Facebook. Terms of the expanded deal were not disclosed.

Prior to the Facebook deal, the ESL Pro League was exclusively broadcast through YouTube Gaming in 2017. A set of Reddit comments from Johannes Schiefer, VP of digital marketing services for ESL, suggests that ESL will make its global tournament broadcasts available on a variety of platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer.

"ESL will be providing multiple sources in which fans can experience our flagship circuits online — including a return to Facebook Gaming to continue bringing content to its rapidly growing audience," - said Ralf Reichert, co-CEO, ESL, in a statement.
