PGL, ComputerGames.ro’s esport brand, will continue to run DreamHack events in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe until 2020.
The biggest digital festival in Romania will grow from year to year, according to the new agreement between PGL and the Swedish owners of the DreamHack brand.
The two parties have extended their partnership contract which includes exclusivity for PGL in running DreamHack events in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe until 2020.
In the next five years, esports lovers in Romania will be able to meet up every year in Bucharest and Cluj Napoca to participate in special competitions designed for them and to watch their
favorite cyberathletes compete on stage.
“The previous editions of DreamHack Bucharest and all the championships we have run in the last 13 years of activity laid the foundations for what we want to achieve in the future. We are planning more international competitions and even more events abroad. DreamHack Romania will remain a staple in the PGL portfolio, which is why we are ready to announce the next editions which will take place in 2016 and 2017”, said Silviu Stroie, president of PGL.
