Sony has patented technology that will make game downloads invisible.
The new technology will allow games to track player movements and load certain areas into memory. As soon as the user comes to the end of the location, the next level will be loaded instantly.

Sony registered a similar patent back in 2002. Andrew Gavin, who was one of the founders of Naughty Dog, was responsible for its creation. While there is no exact information on whether these patents differ from each other, or the new one is a continuation of the old one.
