Doom 4: PC Requirements, Launch Timing Revealed and New Trailer

With Id Software's new Doom set to come out next week, Bethesda has now announced the key launch details for it. Below you'll find information about Doom's PC system requirements, as well as details on the game's file size, pre-loading, and precise launch timing.

Doom PC System Requirements:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions).
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better.
  • GPU: 8 GB RAM; 55 GB free HDD space; Nvidia GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better.
  • Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for multiplayer and SnapMap.

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions);
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better.
  • GPU: 8 GB RAM; 55 GB free HDD space; Nvidia GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better.
  • Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap.

Doom is already available to pre-load on Xbox One. PC and PlayStation 4 users will be able to pre-load the shooter starting at 12 AM EST on May 11. In terms of file size, console players will need at least 50 GB of free space, while PC users need 45 GB of space.
